Tata Motors is reportedly preparing to enter the electric two-wheeler market with its first-ever Tata EV Bike, marking a major expansion beyond cars and SUVs. Expected to offer a futuristic design, long-range capability, and smart connectivity, the new electric motorcycle will target urban commuters, eco-conscious youth, and EV enthusiasts.
Aggressive Styling With Aerodynamic Body and LED Lights
The Tata EV Bike is likely to feature a fully faired or street-naked design, with sharp bodywork, aerodynamic panels, and a full LED lighting system. Inspired by Tata’s design DNA seen in the Nexon EV and Curvv, the bike may also include split seats, digital instrument cluster, and projector headlamp setup for a modern, sporty look.
High-Capacity Lithium-Ion Battery With 150–200 Km Range
The EV Bike may be equipped with a removable or fixed lithium-ion battery pack, offering a real-world range between 150 to 200 kilometers per charge. It is expected to support fast charging as well as home plug-in charging, giving users flexibility and convenience for daily city rides.
Powerful Electric Motor With Instant Torque and Ride Modes
Tata’s EV Bike could be powered by a mid-mounted electric motor capable of producing instant torque, giving riders quick acceleration from 0 to 60 km/h. The bike may feature multiple ride modes such as Eco, City, and Sport, along with regenerative braking and hill assist for added safety.
Smart Features With App Connectivity and Remote Control
The bike is likely to come with Bluetooth-based mobile app support, enabling navigation assist, ride statistics, remote locking, geo-fencing, and live battery monitoring. OTA updates may also be included, keeping the system up to date with new features over time.
Safety Features and Strong Frame Design
On the safety front, the Tata EV Bike is expected to offer disc brakes on both wheels, combi-brake or dual-channel ABS, side-stand motor cut-off, and impact-absorbing chassis design. The bike may also include reverse mode and auto turn-off indicators.
Tata EV Bike Could Be a Game Changer in India’s Electric Mobility Space
With its focus on long range, bold design, smart features, and brand trust, the Tata EV Bike could disrupt the growing electric motorcycle segment in India. It is expected to compete with models from Revolt, Tork, and upcoming EV brands like Ola and Ather in the performance electric category.
